Newly-released video from Zvezda, a government-owned Russian television channel, shows Royal Air Force jets "escorting" two Russian military planes that came very close to U.K. airspace on Jan. 28.
The footage was released Feb. 19, but Zvezda did not specify when it was filmed.
On Wednesday, RAF jets intercepted two Russian bombers that were seen off the coast of Cornwall. The Russian bombers did not enter U.K. airspace but a Ministry of Defense spokesperson said the jets were escorted by the RAF until they were out of the "U.K. area of interest."
