A gunman showed up at the Ottawa home of an Air Canada executive Wednesday night.

The incident happened just before 10 p.m. at Duncan Dee's house. Dee is a spokesman for Air Canada.

The man never left his car but a private security guard said he was holding what appeared to be a handgun.

The incident happened on the same day that the federal government intervened to prevent Air Canada flight attendants from going on strike.

The gunman allegedly made reference to the labour dispute before fleeing the scene.

Police are investigating the incident.
