OTTAWA - A Quebec woman is facing charges following a security breach at the prime minister's country home in Gatineau Park.

The Mounties say 32-year-old Caroline Allaire of Gatineau is accused of mischief, trespassing, dangerous driving and fleeing police.

Allaire was arrested early Sunday after a woman smashed a car into the wooden gate at the entrance to the residence on Lake Mousseau, also known as Harrington Lake.

The woman reportedly wanted to meet Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

RCMP spokeswoman Sgt. Nathalie Deschenes said Allaire is set to appear in Gatineau court on Friday.

Deschenes said the woman was held in custody at the request of the court, but declined to say why.
