Warner Bros. has fired troubled actor Charlie Sheen from the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men."
The company announced the firing Monday afternoon in a brief, one-sentence statement: "After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on ‘Two and a Half Men' effective immediately."
It's not known if the show will resume production without Sheen.
In an oddly-worded statement, Sheen tells celebrity gossip website TMZ the firing is "very good news."
