LONDON - A report out of the U.K. suggests Bryan Adams is to become a father at 51.

The Telegraph newspaper reports the Canadian rocker is expecting a baby in May with his personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi.

The paper sources the news to a friend and neighbour of the singer who lives in London's Chelsea district.

The same unnamed source also says many of Adam's friends don't even know the pair are a couple, but adds that they are living together.

Grimaldi helped set up the Bryan Adams Foundation in 2004 and is currently one of its trustees. Her online biography says she graduated from Cambridge in 2001 with a degree in social and political sciences.

Neither Adams or Grimaldi appear to have commented on the report so far.
