SYDNEY, N.S. - The head of an anti-sealing group says two of his crew are being deported back to Europe after being charged with disrupting the East Coast hunt.

Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society says the captain and first officer of the group's vessel are to be sent back to their home countries tomorrow.

Watson says the two were told they wouldn't be allowed to return to Canada even though they might face court dates in relation to the charges.

Capt. Alex Cornelissen of Amsterdam and first officer Peter Hammarstedt of Sweden were charged last weekend with endangering sealers on the ice with their vessel, the Farley Mowat.

Watson says the two plan to fight the charges in court.

Watson says the Farley Mowat was also still in custody of officials who were inspecting it
