KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - There are at least 20 casualties after a double suicide bomb attack in southern Afghanistan.

The victims -- dead and wounded -- include police, soldiers and civilians.

Helmand deputy provincial police chief Kamaluddin Khan says the attack began when a first suicide bomber detonated his explosives near a taxi stand in the town of Gereshk.

Khan says police and army soldiers responded to the scene.

Then, a second suicide attacker detonated his explosives, causing a majority of the casualties.
