The Canadian Armed Forces鈥� social media teams have been told to limit their use of the hashtag #CAF during the Rio Games, after Twitter began automatically turning the three letters into an emoji of the Central African Republic flag.

Twitter says it launched the flag emojis ahead of the Olympics, as a way for 鈥渇ans across the globe can share their passion for their favourite teams.鈥�

There are 207 emoji three-letter codes, including one for the Refugee Olympic Team (#ROT).
