TORONTO - Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka advanced to the semifinals of the Rogers Cup with a 6-1, 6-3 win over South Africa's Kevin Anderson on Friday.

Wawrinka will play the winner of Grigor Dimitrov and Kei Nishikori's quarter-final match on Saturday.

Top-seeded Novak Djokovic was scheduled to play Tomas Berdych in the other quarter-final later Friday.

Canadian Milos Raonic took on Gael Monfils in the final quarter-final of the day.
