BROSSARD, Que. -- Eric Comrie will start in goal when Canada faces the United States at the world junior hockey championship Wednesday with first place in their preliminary-round group on the line.

Coach Benoit Groulx considers both his goalies equal and has opted to continue alternating between Comrie and Zach Fucale.

Comrie had a 17-save shutout against Germany in his only outing so far, while Fucale gave up one goal in two starts.

Canada (3-0-0) faces its toughest test so far against the Americans (2-0-1).

Both teams have conceded only one goal in three games.

The game features a showdown between the two players tabbed to go first overall in the 2015 NHL draft: Canada's Connor McDavid and U.S. captain Jack Eichel.
