Breakfast Banana Split

  • Serves 1 person

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 3 oz granola (store bought or homemade)
  • 2 oz strawberry yogurt (or your favourite kind)
  • 2oz vanilla yogurt
  • 3 ea strawberry
  • 5 ea raspberry
  • 10 ea blueberry
  • 5 ea blackberry
  • 1 oz nutella
  • .5oz honey
  • 1 TB sliced almonds or any other nut of your choice (optional)

Directions

In a bowl mix flavoured yogurt with granola and let sit 5 min.

In a presentation bowl peel and slice banana length wise.

Add 3 scoops of granola and yogurt mix into split of banana, (this is the ice cream)

In a separate bowl, thin out the Nutella with a small amount of water till desired consistency. Poor over your "ice cream" Balls (this is the chocolate sauce)

Drizzle honey over remaining scoops (this is the pineapple sauce)

Add dollops of vanilla yogurt on each scoop of "ice cream" (this is the whipping cream)

Garnish your sundae with freshly washed berries and nuts.

Complete your sundae with a cherry. Enjoy!


Granola Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 c Rolled Oats
  • 1 c Sliced Almonds
  • 1 c Chopped Pecan
  • 1 c Raw Sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 c Canola Oil
  • 1/2 c Honey
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tbsp Ground cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 300F

In a large bowl stirs oats, nuts and sunflower seeds. In a separate bowl mix oil, honey, vanilla and cinnamon. Add to dry ingredients, mix well. Spread mixture onto two ungreased baking sheets.

Bake in preheated oven, for 10 minute, remove from oven and stir. Return to oven and continue to baking until golden, about 10 min. Remove from oven and let cool.
