Google has taken its Street View collection to new heights with its first vertical climb, mounting cameras on some of the best climbers in the world as they scale the sheer granite face of

To capture the dizzying ascent, Google gave cameras to climbers Lynn Hill, Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell, who scaled 3,000 feet of vertical rock face to capture the experience for the armchair viewer.

In addition to charting the climb in virtual images, Google has also also created a Yosemite Treks page, a resource that offers fellow climbers tips on how to scale El Capitan.
