Ron Howard and Sam Mendes are among this year's Golden Globe nominees for best director.
The award-winning directors helmed 'Frost/Nixon' and `Revolutionary Road,' respectively.
The other nominees are Danny Boyle for 'Slumdog Millionaire,' David Fincher for `The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' and Stephen Daldry for `The Reader.'
'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' 'Frost/Nixon' and `Doubt' were the leading nominees this year, with five nods apiece.
The Golden Globes are handed out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
They'll be presented Jan. 11 on CTV.
