In your dreams Courtney Love!

The widow of Nirvana rock legend Kurt Cobain may be spending some quality time in the future with "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson, 23.

The sullen, vampire heartthrob is reportedly in line to star as Love's late husband in Universal Pictures' upcoming, untitled biopic.

Love, an executive producer on the project, has reportedly been called and emailed non-stop by British actor Pattinson about the film venture, which will focus on Cobain's life, music and suicide in 1994.

Courtney's wish list doesn't stop there: the 45-year-old tabloid fave wants Hollywood lovely Scarlett Johansson, 25, to star as, who else, Courtney Love!

It's all enough to make Nirvana fans hoot "Has Love lost her freaking marbles?"

And yet, Love's participation in this film based on Charles R. Cross' 2001 biography, "Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain," comes with certain conditions. She gets an active role in the choice of director, screenplay, music and casting.

Other stars have been linked to this buzz-worthy flick long before Pattinson, among them Ewan McGregor, 39, and James Franco, 31.

With Hollywood working the way it does these days, everyone from Zac Efron to one of the Jonas Brothers has probably popped up at some time as an "ideal" pick from casting agents working the Universal lot.

But Pattinson believes his talents as a musician (really?) make Cobain's life story an ideal choice for him.

On paper, at least, the potential for big box office returns seems a shoo-in with Pattison at the helm.

The shock factor alone of seeing such a pretty face play one of the most troubled musical artists of the last two decades should attract millions.

But will Cobain diehards buy the idea?

Will they think Love the vainest of all faded stars for casting two impossibly beautiful people to bring her story -- oh yeah, Kurt's, too -- to the big screen?

We'll have to wait and see. What's music to Love's ears might play sour, not sweet, to the cult of Cobain.
