Prince Harry's social life has made news again, this time for reports that he and his Zimbabwean-born girlfriend have split.

The News of the World reported on Sunday that Harry and Chelsy Davy ended their three-year romance after she lost patience with his playboy lifestyle.

A friend of the 22-year-old student told the paper that Harry decided to attend a rugby match on her birthday leading up to the split.

The Mail on Sunday wrote that Davy split with the prince because she needed some space.

"She kept saying she needed to take some time out to re-establish herself. She still loves him but she feels she needs to carve an identity as her own person rather than as Prince Harry's girlfriend," a close friend told the Mail.

"Chelsy just couldn't put up with his antics anymore," a friend told the News of the World.

Harry's decision to attend a rugby match instead of her birthday was the final straw, the paper reported.

Harry, 23, is third in line for the throne behind his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William. Officials at Clarence House, where the three live, said they do not comment on the royals' private lives.

Harry's social life made headlines earlier this in Canada, when he was spotted at a Calgary nightclub, Cowboys, flirting with and kissing a waitress, Cherie Cymbalisty. He had been in Alberta to take part in military exercises at CFB Suffield in the province's southeast.

Cymbalisty, 22, sold her story to a British tabloid. She is currently negotiating photo shoots with magazines such as Playboy and Maxim.

Harry, 23, graduated from Britain's elite Sandhurst military academy this year and had intended to serve in Iraq. But he was held back amid death threats when his regiment, the Blues and Royals, were posted there earlier this year.
