VANCOUVER, B.C. - Queen Elizabeth's youngest son, Prince Edward, visits British Columbia on Thursday and Friday.

The 45-year-old Prince, also known as the Earl of Wessex, presents Duke of Edinburgh Awards in two separate ceremonies in Vancouver on Thursday.

He'll also visit Thunderbird Stadium at the University of B.C. to watch a sledge hockey practice and inspect the stadium, which has been completely rebuilt for the 2010 Olympics.

Prince Edward travels to Victoria Friday morning to present more Duke of Edinburgh Awards in a ceremony at Government House.

The royal visit wraps up Friday afternoon in Vancouver.

The Prince will attend a flag dedication ceremony at the naval reserve base in Stanley Park to launch Canadian Navy Pacific coast centennial celebrations.
