Canada's total debt load
Canada's total federal debt sat just under $610 billion in 2012. Still promising to balance the federal government's books by 2015, Canada's debt is projected to grow by about $17 billion in 2013-2014, and by $8.5 billion in 2014-2015 before leveling out.
