MONTREAL - World poker champion Jonathan Duhamel is recovering after being the victim of a home invasion at his house near Montreal.

Longueuil police confirm that two men forced their way into a Boucherville borough home but would not confirm the name of the victim.

However, Duhamel's agent Yves Bouchard says it was his client.

Duhamel was manhandled by the robbers and had to be treated in hospital for his injuries although he has now been released.

Duhamel grabbed headlines in 2010 when he won US $8.9 million in a poker tournament in Las Vegas.
