The fashion designer-and-TV star married Joel Madden, her boyfriend of four years, in front of 130 close friends and family at Nicole's father Lionel Richie's vast Beverly Hills estate on Saturday and the pair couldn't be happier.

Nicole told People magazine: "It was magical," while Good Charlotte frontman Joel added: "It was the best night of my life."

The day was made even more special for the couple as they tied the knot in front of their children - Harlow, two, was a flower girl, while 15-month-old Sparrow was the ring-bearer - under a tent transformed to resemble a French garden.

Nicole wore three different Marchesa gowns on her wedding day, one each for the ceremony, dinner and after-dinner party.

One of the stunning dresses featured a ball-gown skirt made from more than 100 yards of hand-draped silk organza and tulle petals.

A host of celebrities attended the wedding with DJ Samantha Ronson as bridesmaid and Joel's twin brother and fellow Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden as best man.

Several high-profile close friends, including Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Kris Jenner and music legend Quincy Jones - who is also Nicole's godfather - also saw the couple marry in a ceremony officiated by Run-DMC rapper and practicing minister Reverend Run.
