ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - A public inquiry into flawed breast cancer tests in Newfoundland has been adjourned again to allow lawyers to review new documents.
Former provincial health minister John Ottenheimer was to resume testifying today, but inquiry counsel Bern Coffey says lawyers need time to review the documents.
Justice Margaret Cameron granted an adjournment until Monday.
The inquiry has been frequently delayed this week after a civil servant discovered e-mails that could be pertinent to the probe.
The e-mails date back to July 2005 - around the time Ottenheimer says his staff told the premier's office about cancer testing problems.
The inquiry is looking into how nearly 400 breast-cancer patients were given inaccurate results on their tests.
It is also trying to determine whether the Eastern Health board or any other responsible authorities responded to them and the public appropriately.
