TORONTO - Miley Cyrus is taking centre stage at this year's MuchMusic Video Awards.
The 17-year-old pop princess will co-host this year's streetside bash along with Much VJs. Cyrus also will perform on the show at Much headquarters Sunday, June 20.
Cyrus follows her Disney peers the Jonas Brothers, who hosted last year's raucous festivities.
Cyrus ascended to fame as the title character in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," a show that has inspired concert tours, several platinum albums and a film.
June also marks the release of Cyrus's third album under her own name, "I Can't Be Tamed," which follows 2008's No. 1 hit "Breakout."
