Vivek is a freelance sports journalist mainly covering basketball, futbol, and tennis across various platforms whether it be in written, podcast, or video format.
He currently also writes for Raptors.com, CBC Sports, and Toronto Life magazine with previous experience at Sportsnet, The Athletic, Yahoo Sports Canada, and VICE among others.
After graduating with an Honours, Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics from the University of Toronto and working in the financial industry for five years, Vivek transitioned to pursuing his passion for sports. After obtaining a post-graduate diploma in sports journalism from Centennial College in 2017, Vivek is now into his fifth season on the Toronto Raptors beat.
Career highlights include Wimbledon, the 2019 NBA Finals, and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. During the Canada men's national team's historic World Cup qualifying run, Vivek co-hosted a radio show focused on the team on Sportsnet 590 The FAN. In May 2022, Vivek also wrote the cover story for SLAM Canada's first-ever issue.
