Shannon Carranco is a journalist and editor based out of Toronto. She joined the national CTVNews.ca team as a writer in April 2023.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Shannon has lived across North America, from the San Francisco Bay Area to rural Quebec. She studied Journalism and Political Science at Concordia University in Montreal.
Shannon has written for the Montreal Gazette, The National Post, and The Globe and Mail. She also worked as an associate producer for CBC’s The Fifth Estate in 2019.
Shannon is also the co-founder and editor of The Hoser, an independent digital media outlet.
