Likewise, the coffee chain is organizing what it's calling the Worldā€™s Largest Starbucks Date on February 13 in markets around the world that will involve special $5 menu pairings such as a mocha drink and heart-shaped cookie; photo props that allow couples to capture their date; and in-store playlists to set the mood.

Singletons seeking love on the online dating site Match.com, meanwhile, will be able to use the new ā€œMeet at Starbucksā€ feature, which will allow members to send an email to their online crush and find a Starbucks location closest to them.

According to Match.com, more than one in three singles cite coffee dates as their favorite first-date activity.

Krispy Kreme has likewise launched a special Valentineā€™s Day promotion with heart-shaped, X and O-shaped donuts. New this year is the ā€˜Luv Bugā€™ donut, bearing a lady bug face.

And the 2015 edition of Valentineā€™s Day products at Dunkinā€™ Donuts includes heart-shaped Cookie Dough and Brownie Batter donuts and dessert lattes.

The Worldā€™s Largest Starbucks Date will be held around the world in markets such as the U.S., Canada, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, China and South Korea.
