LONDON - George Michael is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 11 on charges of being unfit to drive, Metropolitan Police said.
The 43-year-old singer was arrested Oct. 2 after police responded to complaints that a car was blocking an intersection in north London. Police said Michael was found passed out inside the car.
Michael received a caution for possession of marijuana and was released on bail on charges of being unfit to drive, police said.
A message left Sunday night with Michael's publicist, Bianca Bianconi, wasn't immediately returned.
The singer rose to fame in the 1980s as half of the duo Wham! before starting his solo career.
Police had warned Michael for possession of marijuana in February.
In April, he hit three parked cars. Michael later acknowledged in an interview that he was a "terrible driver" and said he was trying to maneuver out of a parking spot.
