The 10-year-old boy who gave life-saving CPR to his little brother after watching Dwayne “The Rock†Johnson do it on film got a hero’s welcome on the star’s Vancouver movie set.

Jacob O’Connor’s story went viral last month, catching the attention of the former pro wrestler turned actor.

The boy sprang into action after he discovered his two-year-old brother Dylan floating face down in his grandmother’s pool in Roseville, Mich., back in July.

Johnson took to Instagram in late August, calling Jacob “a real life hero†and inviting him to the Canadian set of “Skyscraper.â€

Jacob’s mother Christa told Â鶹´«Ã½ Channel her son was nervous to meet Johnson, and hid inside his T-shirt when he first entered the room.

Johnson said it was a special day, and thanked Jacob for “being awesome and for being the kind of person we all aspire to be,†in a social media post on Tuesday.

“We got to see around the set and stuff,†Jacob said. He also took his hero up on his offer of a Willy Wonka-style candy buffet during the visit.

“It was an honour to know that he looked at Jacob as a hero,†Christa said.

She recounted the day she got the call at work that every mother dreads and the seemingly endless 45-minute drive to the hospital where she found her child unconscious with IV lines in both arms.

“When I said his name, he tried to open his eyes. There was no focus,†she recalled. “It’s like he wasn’t even there.â€

Christa said Dylan has made a full recovery.

“I appreciate you buddy,†Johnson told Jacob in an Instagram video they made together. “Thank you. I speak on behalf of the world when I say we’re so proud of you.â€
