It seems Prince George and Princess Charlotte will make their first visit to Canada this fall, accompanying their parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to British Columbia and Yukon.
Prince William and his wife Kate want to bring their children along for their September trip to Canada, according to a Vanity Fair report. The magazine cites a source saying the couple "can't bear" to leave the children at home, so arrangements are being made for the family to make the visit together.
Prince George turned three last month just before the visit was announced, and Princess Charlotte is one year old.
Last month, Gov. Gen. David Johnston announced the royal couple's second visit to Canada, but no dates have been officially released yet.
Both British Columbia and the Yukon territory offer a range of outdoor activities for the couple to try. During their last royal tour, in June and July, 2011, the couple took part in a dragon-boat race in Prince Edward Island and went canoeing in the Northwest Territories. William, a former Royal Air Force pilot, also flew a Sea King helicopter on the water off P.E.I.
The couple also spent Canada Day that year in Ottawa and took part in celebrations on Parliament Hill, drawing an estimated crowd of 300,000.
The department of Canadian Heritage is responsible for releasing the detailed itinerary. A spokesman said Monday to expect it soon.
