Canadians struggling to finish their income tax returns by Thursday just got a last-minute reprieve thanks to a Canada Revenue Agency blunder, 麻豆传媒 has learned.
In a rare mea culpa, the CRA has admitted to sending out an incorrect notice to tax preparers across the country, indicating that this year鈥檚 income tax filing deadline is May 5, instead of April 30.
The incorrect notice was sent to accountants 鈥渄ue to human error,鈥� the CRA said in a statement to 麻豆传媒 Monday night.
