Canada AM launches a week-long special series that will help Canadians clean up their act and whip their homes into shape this spring by getting rid of clutter. Every day this week, beginning Monday, May 3, Canada AM's 'Keep It or Can It' series will examine tips, tricks, and expert advice on what's worth keeping, and what needs to be thrown away.

Canada AM's 'Keep It or Can It' series airs Monday – Friday beginning at 6 a.m. ET on CTV.

Monday, May 3 – Closet Cleaning

Today Canada AM helps viewers figure out which key pieces that are buried in the closet are worth hanging onto. Beverly Thomson and Seamus O'Regan check in with personal stylist and fashion blogger Yael Panet, who goes through a closet live on the show. Panet points out the timeless classic keepers, clothes that are worth repairing, and trends that are on the way out.

Tuesday, May 4 – Kid Stuff

In a show that is anything but child's play, Canada AM takes a look at child safety associated with kid gear. Is it safe to give your kids the toys you played with as a child? Can you re-use cribs, car seats and high chairs? Joined by Pamela Fuselli, Executive Director of Safe Kids Canada, Thomson and O'Regan explore child safety and answer parents' everyday questions like whether cribs, car seats and high chairs should be bought at garage sales, how you can find out if they are safe, and what should be kicked to the curb.

Wednesday, May 5 – What's Cooking in the Kitchen

Experimenting in the kitchen can be fun – but cupboards and freezer should not contain live science experiments! Canada AM takes a look at keeping on top of what's in the kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer. Find out what food is ok to keep, what needs to be tossed before it walks away! Thomson and O'Regan show you a timeline for canned food, cookies/crackers/cereal, condiments, and frozen items. Leading Canadian nutritionist and Canada AM regular Leslie Beck rolls up her sleeves and cleans out the Canada AM kitchen.

Thursday, May 6 – Bathroom

Today Canada AM goes inside the bathroom with an up-close look that explores the shelf life of makeup, toiletries, brushes and bathroom appliances. Cosmetic cop Paula Begoun targets the medicine cabinet and the cupboard under the sink.

Friday, May 7 –Electronics Under Surveillance

When is it worth it to fix your broken TV, computer, iPod and when should you replace them? Canada AM looks at vintage electronics that are making a comeback – and reveals whether it's time to dust off that old record player or other electronic gems stashed in the basement and inexpensively get them in working order. Tech expert Amber MacArthur will be sorting the trash from the treasures.

Also, CanadaAM.ctv.ca offers additional resources that will help Canadians clean up their own act at home, with links to articles and websites on how to get organized, ditch the clutter, and strategies that can help kids and adults maintain a neater, safer home.
