Amy Winehouse Canadian music sales spike after death

TORONTO - In the days after Amy Winehouse's death, Canadians have rushed to revisit the beehived British diva's soulful music.

Winehouse's 2006 smash "Back to Black" was the No. 1 album on the iTunes Canada chart on Monday afternoon, one of three of the singer's releases to crack the top 10.

Her 2003 debut "Frank" occupied the third place on the chart (Adele's unstoppable "21" was No. 2), while a collection of B-sides from the "Back to Black" sessions also found its way into the website's top 10.

Customers of the popular music service were greeted by a marquee photo of Winehouse immediately upon loading iTunes.

Winehouse's album was fetching equally brisk sales in the U.S. and in her native U.K. Nielsen SoundScan will release its weekly sales report later this week.

The troubled singer was found dead in her north London home on Saturday at the age of 27.
