Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck would support Alec Baldwin if he ran for mayor of New York.
The '30 Rock' star is reportedly interested in the 2013 mayoral race after Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner - who was widely expected to run - became embroiled in scandal when he revealed he had sent saucy images of himself to women via twitter and Jennifer and Ben would be happy to throw their weight behind Alec's bid.
Speaking on 'FOX and Friends', Jennifer said: "I think he would give us all a run for his money. He's awesome, I love Alec. [Lack of experience] hasn't stopped anyone before.
"I think he should go for it. He could run and let people vote! Yes, I stand up for Alec Baldwin.
"And Ben would stand up for Alec as well. He's a pretty smart guy."
Alec, 53, - who will quit '30 Rock' next year - has previously spoken about his desire to run for public office.
He said: "There's no age limit on running for office, to a degree. It's something I might do, one day.
"I do believe that people want to believe that someone who deeply cares about the middle class would like to seek public office."
