While the actual bouquet(s) that will be used in this year's royal wedding are a secret, much can be determined about their look and feel based on history and tradition.

When Queen Victoria wed Prince Albert in 1840, her bouquet featured myrtle cut from the royal gardens on the Isle of Wight. Every royal wedding since then has featured the myrtle from either the same plant or its offspring.

Also expected to be seen in Kate's royal bouquet are white lilies, her favourite flowers, and daffodils -- the national symbol of Wales (as in "Prince of Whales"). The preferred colour is, once again, white.

It is predicted that over a million pounds will be spent on flowers for the marriage of Prince William to his fiancee, Kate, and that "organic" will be a theme

If roses are not featured in Kate's bouquet, I will eat my gardening hat.

Will's Mother Diana was known as the "English Rose" and it is the National flower of England.

I predict that the now famous David Austin roses will be featured at the royal wedding. I will also go out on a limb and suggest that you will see the world's most popular garden rose, the Queen Elizabeth.

Finally, Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret used lots of orchids in their wedding bouquets. Look for them as well. in Kate's bouquet.
