Chemical Attacks in Syria

The U.S. government has said samples collected by first responders after an Aug. 21 chemical attack in and around Damascus have tested positive for the sarin nerve agent.

Last week, the White House identified 12 Damascus suburbs that suffered a chemical weapons attack, which the Obama administration said killed 1,429 people, including 426 children.
