The federal Liberals have released a series of TV advertisement designed to counter Conservative attack ads and to highlight leader Stephane Dion's skills

The 30-second spot depicts Dion chairing the December 2005 UN conference on climate change in Montreal. It shows Dion raising his fists triumphantly in the air after an agreement was reached among 182 countries on an action plan to fight global warming.

The commercial ends with the caption: "Canadian leadership to meet the challenge.''

The Liberals also launched new French and English radio ads today for the Quebec market.

The ads appear to be a response to Conservative ads airing in Quebec that criticize Dion's leadership abilities.
