Another Trudeau has made an unforgettable public appearance. Xavier James Trudeau, the son of Justin Trudeau and Quebec Reporter Sophie Grgoire-Trudeau, was born today in Montreal.

Sharing the same birthday as his late grandfather, former prime minister of Canada, Pierre Trudeau, the healthy baby boy weighed in at 9 pounds, 2 ounces.

Justine Trudeau told CTV's "eTalk" Thursday that "Mom and baby are doing wonderfully." Sophie Grgoire-Trudeau is a reporter for the CTV entertainment show "eTalk.''

Trudeau is the Liberal candidate in Montreal-area Papineau riding for the next federal election and a former teacher.

He is also uncle to his brother Alexandre's first child, Pierre-Emmanuel Trudeau, who was born on Dec. 22, 2006.

With his illustrious pedigree, the newest addition to the Trudeau clan will no doubt inspire gossip for decades to come if he, like his grandfather, will one day hold Canada's top office.

Until then, eyes remained focused on father Justin and his future political plans.
