TORONTO- Teen pop star Justin Bieber has joined the slew of stars speaking out against bullying by making his own video for the "It Gets Better" project.

The anti-bullying website features a 20-second clip of the Canadian sensation declaring: "There's nothing cool about being a bully," while the Bruno Mars song "Just The Way You Are" plays in the background.

Appearing in a black T-shirt and backwards baseball cap, Bieber says anyone being bullied should tell someone, and he urges anyone who sees an incident taking place to intervene.

The video also appears on the website for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Other celebs who have made videos for the campaign -- which began in the wake of a rash of suicides involving gay teens -- include Kevin Bacon, comic Kathy Griffin and singer Adam Levine.

Bieber reportedly had his own taste of bullying last month when a 12-year-old boy allegedly targeted the singer at a laser tag arcade and levelled a homophobic slur.
