TORONTO - Shares in junior software developer Intertainment Media Inc. rose more than 18 per cent Wednesday after the company said a major platform has been accepted into Microsoft Corp.'s Windows Live Services program.
The Toronto-based company said its ItiBiti voice-powered social networking platform will integrate Microsoft services and technologies through its participation in the partnership.
ItiBiti users will be able to use a Windows Live ID to sign in and will gain access to services such as Windows Live Messenger and Live Search.
The ItiBiti platform is a desktop application that gives users a full communications suite including VoIP calling, a multichannel media player and access to targeted private-label loyalty programs and advertising.
Shares in the company were up two cents at 13 cents in afternoon trading on the TSX Venture Exchange.
