So many memories from the past two decades have been captured on VHS. But now that these tapes are a dying breed, transferring precious moments to DVD is becoming more popular. Technology expert Kris Abel shows us how to do it.

1. Samsung VHS/DVD Recorder (Model No. DVD-VR355)

No computer is necessary for this device. Insert the tape and a blank DVD and it does a straight transfer. As a regular DVD player, it also changes your movie DVDs to High Definition for your Plasma or LCD screen for a reasonable $250.

2. Pinnacle Dazzle DVD Recorder

This small box  connects your VCR or camcorder to your computer. The included software allows for basic and easy transfer over to a DVD burner.

3. Ulead MovieFactory/Adobe Premiere Elements

For mor elaborate edits and DVD presentations you can replace the Dazzle software with these suites that will let you add more details.

This product makes archival quality DVDs made for long-lasting storage of your home movies.
