MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Fat Boy is still trying to slim down.
The hefty feline became a celebrity last summer at the Moose Jaw Humane Society after his efforts to lose weight went viral.
The 24-pound cat's fame started with a facebook page and stretched to include autographed posters.
The attention has helped out his fellow animals at the shelter, raising a few thousand dollars through donations from fans online.
Shelter spokeswoman Karla Pratt says Fat Boy's last weigh-in had him down to 20 pounds, but he's still got a way to go to hit his target weight of 14 pounds.
Pratt says the progress may seem slow, but it's not a race.
