About the Program
The University Honors College at WPUNJ is a place where academically gifted Â鶹´«Ã½s explore new ideas and engage in intellectual and creative collaborations with experienced and dedicated members of the faculty> Honors Â鶹´«Ã½s are offered a comprehensive educational experience that brings together academic, residential, social and cultural experiences. The College provides Â鶹´«Ã½s with many oportunities to receive personalized attention from members of the faculty, in small classes that encourage discussion and debate, in independent tutorials where advnaced Â鶹´«Ã½s work privately with professorsin their major area on a thesis or project of their own creation, in the residence living communities that will be visited regularly by professors and staff members, and in social activities that bring together the Honors community.
Available Honors Courses
The University Honors College offers a wide range of Honors courses. Each semester several Honors sections of general education classes are offered to help Â鶹´«Ã½s meet their distribution requirements. Many upper division courses are offered in the fields of the Humanities, Social Sciences, Literary Arts, Biopsychology, Cognitive Science, Environmental Ethics and Music. Most courses are cross disciplinary seminars open to Â鶹´«Ã½s from many majors.
