About This Campus

Frostburg State University is, first and foremost, a teaching institution in which Â鶹´«Ã½s are guided and nurtured by dedicated, highly qualified faculty and staff. Location Information

Frostburg State University is located in the Appalachian highlands (elevation 2,000 feet) of western Maryland. The main campus covers 260 acres within the town limits of Frostburg (population 7,500). The local region is rich in both history and outdoor activities. The only four-year institution of the University System of Maryland west of the Baltimore-Washington corridor, the University serves as the premier educational and cultural center for western Maryland.

Helpful Information

Great location in the mountains. Lots of hiking and outdoor activities available year round. Skiing and winter sports located within 30 mins of campus. Small, diverse campus within a small rural community. Bringing a car makes getting around easier. Within 2 hours of Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD and Pittsburgh, PA.

Meal plans include Bonus dollars which can be used at any dining facility on campus. The 12 meal plan includes $250 bonus dollars, the 14 meal plan includes $125 bonus dollars and the 15 meal plan includes $50 bonus dollars.
