The East Falls Campus of Thomas Jefferson University is a small campus and private university that provides its Â鶹´«Ã½s with the best of both worlds: minutes away from the excitement and culture of Center City, but located in the park-like East Falls section of Philadelphia. Location Information

Jefferson is situated on a 100-acre, park-like campus in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. Nearby parks include Fairmount Park, the Wissahickon Valley Park and the historical Valley Forge National Park. Downtown Philadelphia is only 15 minutes away by bus, train or car. Or take your bike on the trails alongside the Schuylkill River. Jefferson is also 2.5 hours from Washington D.C. and less than 2 hours from New York City.

The East Falls campus of Jefferson offers more than 60 areas of study, taught with a unique interdisciplinary approach called Nexus Learning. Jefferson specializes in professional majors and grants Bachelors of Science. Most courses in humanities and social sciences are limited to general education program, Hallmarks. Jefferson is committed to Â鶹´«Ã½ guidance and success, with 18 Â鶹´«Ã½s in an average class and Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty ratio of 13:1.

Important Notes: The Health Insurance fee is charged to all Â鶹´«Ã½s automatically. However, this fee is only mandatory for Â鶹´«Ã½s coming from US institutions if you cannot provide proof of an already existing health insurance policy. If you can provide proof of insurance, you may sign a waiver to remove this charge from your bill. Additionally, the Tuition Insurance is also charged to all Â鶹´«Ã½s automatically. This fee can also be waived. However, please note that Â鶹´«Ã½s who opt to waive this fee will be responsible for billed expenses (housing, meal plan and general Â鶹´«Ã½ fee) if they require a medical withdraw after the published refund date.

Students may choose one of two options 1. Scholler Hall or other traditional residence halls ($3,543 double occupancy) 2. Independence Plaza, apartment-style ($5,227 double occupancy). Other apartment-style residences may also be available.

Meal Plans

Notes About Meal Plans
Students who choose Scholler Residence Hall ($3,721) are required to purchase a 5-meal per week plan ($3,929, this includes $2,000 bonus dollars). Students who choose an Independence Plaza ($5,224) apartment must purchase a 3-meal per week plan at a minimum ($2,879, this includes $1,800 bonus dollars). Students are welcome to choose a higher meal plan if desired. Please take a look at the costs of these plans above and consider these costs when deciding on your on-campus housing. Meal plans include bonus dollars for spending in campus dining locations outside of allotted weekly meals.

If you can provide proof of insurance, you may sign a waiver to remove this charge from your bill.

Jefferson enrolls eligible fall Â鶹´«Ã½s in annual coverage and charges 50% of the annual insurance cost in the fall and 50% in the spring. Students must maintain eligibility for the plan to remain enrolled for spring coverage. Students who do not maintain spring eligibility will be removed from the plan as of January 1, 2025 and the insurance cost will be adjusted to the fall only premium.
