There are opportunities to be a part of these productions while attending the University of New Orleans.
  • Hospitality Management - As New Orleans is one of the top tourist and culinary destinations in the world, this undergraduate degree program provides Â鶹´«Ã½s with the foundations of business that will enable them to pursue a broad spectrum of opportunities
  • Music/Jazz Studies - Jazz studies at UNO embraces both the rich traditions of our city and the innovations and creativity that keep New Orleans on the forefront of a burgeoning creative economy. UNO Â鶹´«Ã½s, faculty and alumni perform on more stages at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on an annual basis than representatives from any other college or university.
  • Environmental Sciences - Within the EES department, UNO offers concentrations in Geoscience and Coastal and Environmental Science. You will be able to choose courses to meet these concentration requirements while also completing the standard College of Sciences curriculum. In addition to your tailored coursework, you will work in labs, with state-of-the-art instrumentation, and in analytical techniques in field-based courses and other hands-on activities.

Unique Academic Programs

  • Ocean Engineering - The School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering offers the Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME). The University of New Orleans is one of the select few universities to offer the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering degree in the United States. The degree prepares majors for careers in the U.S. and international shipbuilding and offshore industries by applying the principles and laws of basic sciences and mechanics to the design and construction of commercial, naval, and recreational vessels as well as offshore structures and other floating systems.
