The first trailer for Natalie Portman's "Jackie" provides a sneak peek at the film which chronicles the days following the assassination of John. F. Kennedy.

In the biopic, Portman portrays the First Lady, a role that is generating no small amount of Oscar buzz.

The teaser is a compilation of flashbacks following the shooting of 1963, capturing the wife headed to the funeral, grief-stricken at the hospital and holding her husband's blood-soaked body in the car.

Also starring alongside Portman are Peter Sarsgaard as Bobby Kennedy, Greta Gerwig as Nancy Tuckerman, John Carroll Lynch as Lyndon B. Johnson and Billy Crudup as a journalist.

"Jackie" bows in theaters December 2.
