Vancouver transit riders will soon hear Canadian actor Seth Rogen鈥檚 signature voice during some announcement on transit lines, the area transportation agency announced Thursday.

鈥淎ny opportunity to enrich the lives of the Canadian people is an opportunity I will take,鈥� the Knocked Up actor says to the TransLink鈥檚 .

In one of the example announcements, he says 鈥淗ey Vancouver, it鈥檚 Seth,鈥� and offers tips to make 鈥測our transit ride even more awesome.鈥� .

鈥淚 know your bag is probably very nice and you care deeply for it. But that doesn鈥檛 mean it needs its own seat,鈥� he says in one announcement. 鈥淭hose are very nice sneakers, but kind of a horror show on the sole,鈥� he says in another. 鈥淪o get those feet off the seat -- my mom might be sitting there one day. Come on!鈥�

Rogen, who often plays Canadian characters in Hollywood films and finds a way to incorporate Canada in his own productions, is from Vancouver and says he still takes transit when he鈥檚 in the city.

鈥淲hen the opportunity came up to be a voice of public transportation, I was thrilled. I am honestly always looking for ways to participate in Canadian culture and to put the spotlight on Canada,鈥� he says in the clip. 鈥淕iving them some interesting information as to where they鈥檙e going could be additive in people鈥檚 lives, which is nice.鈥�

In May, the actor suggesting he voice announcements on Vancouver transit instead of Morgan Freeman, tweeting 鈥淵o if they need a replacement now let me know.鈥� The TransLink account replied, offering to 鈥淒M and talk鈥� with the star. The partnership with Freeman was halted in May when the actor was accused of inappropriate conduct.
