TORONTO -- "House of Cards" showrunner Beau Willimon is among the moguls who will share their insights at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival.
The festival announced new details Thursday of its Industry program, which provides delegates with opportunities to hear from experts on the business and art of cinema.
Willimon will join screenwriter Graham Moore ("The Imitation Game") and art director Jess Gonchor ("Foxcatcher"), among others, for a discussion on "world-building" in cinema as part of the fest's Industry Dialogues presentations.
Producer Claudia Bluemhuber ("The Host," "Under the Skin") and Danish director Susanne Bier ("A Second Chance") will be featured in the festival's Moguls sessions.
The festival will also feature panel discussions with celebrated filmmakers including "Snowpiercer" producer Lee Tae Hun, independent producer Ted Hope and Wild Bunch's Vincent Maraval.
Effects artist Douglas Trumbull will present "UFOTOG," a 10-minute experimental demonstrative film using cutting-edge 4K technology.
The festival also announced its annual Doc Conference would return Sept. 9 and 10 and feature a keynote speech from Michael Moore.
Canadian documentarians Alanis Obomsawin and Sturla Gunnarsson, who both have films premiering at the festival, will talk on Sept. 10 about the opportunities and challenges of being a filmmaker in Canada.
The festival's Asian Film Summit will also return and features discussion with Legendary East CEO Peter Loehr, UniJapan's Kenta Fudesaka, Senior VP of CJ Entertainment Kini Kim, directors Andrew Lau ("Revenge of the Green Dragons") and Wang Xiaoshuai ("Red Amnesia").
Gareth Evans, director of the gritty Jakarta-set action films "The Raid" and "The Raid: Redemption," will also speak at the Asian Film Summit.
The Toronto International Film Festival runs Sept. 4 to 14.
