The Boss is in Toronto.
Crowds of fans braved the dreary weather in Toronto on Thursday morning, for a chance to meet Bruce Springsteen.
A lucky group of 600 people attended the event promoting Springsteen’s new book at Indigo store at Bay and Bloor Streets, which featured the chance for a brief one-on-one photo with the iconic American singer-songwriter.
“It was amazing. He’s so nice. He’s incredible. I’m sorry, I’m getting emotional,” one fan, fighting back tears, told CTV Toronto. “I’ve waited my entire life to meet him and it was great. It was quick, but a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Springsteen was in town promoting his 508-page autobiography, “Born to Run,” which recounts his life on and off stage and touches on his battle with depression. The book has been on the New York Times bestseller list for hardcover non-fiction for the past three weeks.
Fans shared photos and anecdotes of their brushes with the Boss online.
