Three years after "Scratch My Back," Peter Gabriel continues his program of musical exchanges with Arcade Fire, Lou Reed, Elbow, David Byrne, Bon Iver, Paul Simon among others for an album titled "And I'll Scratch Yours," out September 23.
Back in 2010, Peter Gabriel asked many of the same artists -- Feist and Bon Iver are new to the project -- to select songs for him to cover. The artists are now returning the favor in "And I'll Scratch Yours," covering their favorite songs from Gabriel's past body of work.
This 12-single LP, which comprises new versions by Lou Reed, Paul Simon and Arcade Fire, is due to drop on September 23 via Real World, in standard album or in double digipack CD including "Scratch My Back."
The artists from the first effort missing in this go-around are Radiohead's Thom Yorke, David Bowie and Neil Young.
