It was a marathon event with a countless number of acts, but we here at CTV.ca managed to pick a few that stood out to us.

Tyrone's picks:

1. "Rize" performing in Tokyo. It was insanely energetic, fast paced and hypnotic. These guys would thrash about then take it down a notch for a pure pop ballad. I'm confounded and in love all at once. Also very welcome at 1 in the morning.

2. "Spinal Tap" in London. It's great to see this musical comedic treasure again. From songs about bum cakes to how cold hell is, it's hard to not love these guys. I have to say they were a sugar sandwich.

3. Alicia Keys performing "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)." Probably the finest song about the dangers of pollution. I'm surprised that more acts didn't perform this song over the course of the concert.

4. Smashing Pumpkins. I haven't seen much of the reunited band yet, so this was my must-watch band of the night. And what can I say, they didn't disappoint. It's like 1995 in my mind all over again.

Constance's picks:

1. Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over"

Live Earth's Sydney concert took on special meaning for Australian audiences, who waved and sang as Crowded House belted out "Don't Dream It's Over." The words captured the crowd's mood and Live Earth's message about global warming.

2. Rihanna's "Umbrella"

Walking as only she can, Rihanna sauntered across Tokyo's stage in stilettos and a Lycra jumpsuit. She belted out the words "Under my umbrella"--from her smash hit "Umbrella"--and left the crowd clamoring for more of her palatable mega-star presence.

3. Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie"

Shakira's signature moves heated up the damp crowds in Hamburg, who clapped and swayed to the singer's gyrating rendition.

4. Metallica

The legendary band gave an all-out brilliant performance for Live Earth audiences in London. From beginning to end they ruled the Wembley Stadium Stage.
