A broken watermain at a Brampton townhouse complex sent a large stream of water to shooting forcefully into the air early Saturday morning.

Footage captured at the scene shows the water reaching a height of approximately more than 45 metres (150 feet), soaring above nearby buildings.

The break at 216 Townhouse Crescent, near Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue East, was one of several watermain incidents keeping Peel authorities occupied.

Const. George Tudos of Peel Regional Police noted that officers were called to five different watermain locations between 11:18 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday.

The incidents occurred around Brampton and Mississauga, he told CTVToronto.ca.
